“....You are a Death-Dealer, a lean and mean fighting machine. You will bury your emotions before you step on any battlefield. You are prepared to kill anyone you meet. You can use any weapon effectively or your bare-hands. You have been trained to parachute into any hostile environment. Rappel from any ’copter to the ground or the roof of any building to get to your target and complete your mission. You can climb any mountain. Prepare supplies to be sling-loaded and picked up by a ‘copter to units in hostile areas. You can drive any vehicle or A.P.C. into combat with your weapon system attached or hand carry your weapon into position and deal death to Americas’ enemies. As a recruiter, you have shown you are able to influence hearts and minds to rally to your cause. You can operate in any environment. You are a human weapon. Nothing can or will change that. You must accept this. Though you will be considered ‘Ronin’, a warrior without a leader or master, you must never forget the oath you swore to protect America from all enemies foreign and domestic, including yourself. You are a lethal weapon. You must be responsible with your knowledge. You must be aware of what you say and what you do from now on. You are a war machine. And no one can take that from you or change you. You must however choose your path. The narrow path for good, or the wide path of evil. But this is your fate....”. My second--Special Forces mentor--to me in October of 1989 just before I left Fort Campbell, Kentucky for the last time on the day of my discharge in 1989.
